Greetings Transfer Student,
We recognize the challenges transfer students have in transitioning into a new culture, but also celebrate the unique experiences you bring to our academic community. To help ease the transition we have developed this web presence as a guide to the resources and programs available to transfer students at UMBC.
Successful transfer students advise you to “actively engage in the university community”. I have included the following suggestions as ways to start:
- Enroll in a Transfer Seminar (TRS)
- Consider Study Abroad
- Participate in Undergraduate Research
- Join a Student Club
- Participate in Club Sports
- Give back through Service Learning
- Polish your Resume
If there is anything I can do to help you achieve success at UMBC please contact me by phone or email.
