Welcome to the Next Step in Your Academic Career!
The Senior-Year Experience (SYE2) is one of the pillars of Academic Engagement and Transition Programs within the Division of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. These experiences are designed to engage students in their final year at UMBC more deeply in the intellectual life of the university and promote academic excellence while preparing students to finish their undergraduate academic career.
UNIV401:
The Senior-Year Seminar (UNIV401) is a one-credit seminar designed for students in their final year at UMBC. The purpose of this course is to assist students in finishing their academic career while enhancing their personal and professional development as they prepare for next steps after college. Students will learn about meaningful career opportunities and/or graduate programs, grow their professional portfolio, explore financial literacy, and understand what it means to become an engaged citizen in society beyond the college experience.
Each UNIV401 section is taught by an instructor who is committed to helping students grow personally and professionally and feel confident in their transition to post-undergraduate life.
