Looking for more ConnectionCorps facilitators!

Paid opportunity with Center for Democracy and Civic Life

The Center for Democracy and Civic Life still has a few spots available in ConnectionCorps, its civic dialogue training program! ConnectionCorps is an initiative through which UMBC students (both undergraduate and graduate students) learn to foster democratic participation and authentic connection among participants in dialogue and Center programs (e.g., Change Makers Dinners, Changing Maryland, and Dinners with Friends). ConnectionCorps facilitators participate in bi-weekly and ad-hoc training sessions to build community, develop facilitation and dialogue skills, and prepare for specific workshops and programs.

ConnectionCorps facilitators receive a stipend of $600 for the year. Meetings for the fall are from 1 - 2:30 p.m every other Friday.

Interested students should be committed to creating positive opportunities for dialogue and conversation and who seem interested in helping us all create a better future for our shared democracy.

Interested students should apply ASAP at this link. If you have any questions, please reach out to rblissett@umbc.edu.
